Live IT is an innovative information technology start-up specializing in wide array of
computer and network services. We are looking for a motivated and creative Technology Sales and Marketing professional to join our team starting right away. The main goal of this position will be the sales and marketing of our computer and networking technology services. These services are geared towards businesses of all types and sizes. The successful candidate will have the ability to close a deal and promote an ongoing relationship as well as plan targeted sales and marketing initiatives to get our services to market effectively.

This is a full-time position. However, we may consider a part-time schedule for the right person.  The Technology Sales and Marketing Professional will work closely with and report directly to the CEO of the company. The position is situated at Live IT headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta and working remotely


  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in sales and marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing sales and marketing initiatives
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the Information Technology industries an asset
  • Experience in social media marketing, blogging, website production and maintenance, SEO tools, Adobe Photoshop an asset
  • Experience and/or knowledge of working in a start-up is an asset
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Key duties and responsibilities

      The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and executing sales and marketing objectives and preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual reviews and action plans
  • Responding to customer inquiries, negotiating product pricing options, and ensuring delivery of services
  • Developing innovative digital strategies to increase social media presence, and monitoring responses and analytics
  • Forecasting and achieving sales, marketing, and revenue objectives by developing plans for quotas, volume, and profit; analyzing market trends; establishing pricing strategies; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand
  • Improving service marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and participating in market opportunities such as trade shows, presentations, and conferences to achieve set goals of market penetration
  • Creating and maintaining all sales and marketing materials needed to build product awareness and engage target audiences and stakeholders
  • Traveling in and around Edmonton as well as to other parts of Alberta as required
